Women's Soccer Team Looks Toward 09 Season
Thursday, 18 June 2009 08:18

The past two years the Miramar Women’s Soccer team has averaged 11 wins a season and the 2009 season looks very bright as well. With eight returnees and fifteen freshmen, the Miramar soccer team will be stronger than ever.

Catherine Miller and Kelsey Warner will be fighting for the goalkeeper spot. Miramar returns three top scorers with Mo Ybarra (13 goals), Danica Caudillo (10 goals) and transfer Ashley Moore (10 goals) leading the way. The midfield will be patrolled by transfer Ashley Murray, Bree Duckworth, Lynsey Tackett and transfer Nikki Petraca to name a few. Miramar lost most defense last year so newcomers Sydney Nicholas, Ashley Tousignant, Kayla Welchas, as well as returners Holly Talcott, Jennifer Post and Randi Wittack will be fighting for starting positions.

2009 looks like a playoff year for the Jets!!!! GO JETS!!!
