John Egidio  At Miramar, Coach Egidio acts as the program’s recruiting coordinator and also works closely with the post players in skill development. John has taken an active role in overseeing the academic progress on the players, helping organize daily practice schedules, and serving as an adjunct faculty in the physical education department at the college. A native of Vallejo, CA, John participated in basketball, football, and baseball at St. Patrick- St. Vincent High School and graduated from the school in 1998. He continued his basketball playing career at Napa Valley College for two seasons under Coach Mike Girardi. Coach Egidio continued his education at the University of California at Davis where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Economics in 2002 and received a Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s College in Sport Administration in 2005. Prior to joining the staff at Miramar, Coach Egidio served for three seasons at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. While at Sierra, John worked closely with head coach John Fusano to grow the basketball program during Fusano’s first three seasons at the college. Sierra showed steady improvement over Egidio’s three seasons there, culminating in a 16 win season in the 2003-2004 season. Coach Egidio resides in Encinitas, CA. |
