About Miramar Jets Women’s Water Polo
Women’s water first began back in the early 2000’s. The program was short lived and became nonexistent in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Miramar hired a new coach to start the program up again. It was a rough year with a small team and in 2008 the program was cut due to budget constraints. 2009 brought new life and hope for a successful program. After the 2009 season, the program continued to grow with great numbers during the off season water polo training.
2010 the team continued to grow in numbers and success; Allowing them to win their first game in Jets Women’s Water Polo history on October 6, 2010 versus Palomar College and finished fourth in Conference. Women’s water polo plays in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference against San Diego Mesa, Grossmont, Southwestern and Palomar.
